During WWI and WWII a tradition was set forth to honor those serving in the Armed Forces.  A Blue Star was placed in the window of the homes, businesses, schools and churches to identify the involvement of a family member, loved one or friend in active service to our country.  In addition, a Gold Star was also used to identify a life lost in service.  Two service organizations developed from this tradition and are still active today in Washington, D.C.--The Blue Star Mothers of America and The American Gold Star Mothers.
Now you can help resurrect this tradition by honoring Americans serving our country today.  Please wear your Blue Star pin daily as patriotic support and as a reminder of those pursuing our freedom in service to America.  God Bless America!
